Are you too curious? Is that even a thing? Will you cross that bridge to find out what is on the other side? I would! I am a very curious person. I always ask why, how and what. I want to know how things work, why things happen and if it’s possible to make it better. Now, this does get me into “shinny object” syndrome sometimes. And… my love for all things new and curiosity about how thing work can get me in trouble sometimes.
Last night, I was “curious” why one of the kids I saw was not on the ice. Remember, I live in ice rinks. This time it was speed skating. Most people would wait and ask the parent quietly later on when he was not around. Not me… I leap right into asking him “why are you not on the ice?” He responds with.. ”um.. uh..” and his parent jumps in to explain that he was not skating this year. Open mouth, insert foot. That is how...
It may not be time to get off of Social Media, but in order for your business to grow and for someone to work with you, you need to get them off of Social Media. You can't do business with people if your relationship stays on Social Media.
Here is my take:
What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Can you do business on Social Media?
Are you overwhelmed by all the Social Media options out there? Has someone told you that you need to be everywhere in order to reach more people? I know many who are in the same boat as you. There is help. I am here to tell you that being on every Social Media platform is not a good use of your time.
I don't know about you, but we only have 24 hours in the day and we have work to do outside of Social Media. And if you are on multiple platforms, be careful using third party posting programs to save time. I am not a big fan. I explain why below.
Click the image below to watch the video and find out how you can decrease your Social Media Overwhelm and how your personal brand is impacted when you post using third party programs.
So don't get overwhelmed, you don't have to be everywhere. Use the platforms how they are supposed to be used and you will look professional to your audience and build great online relationships.

How did you spend your weekend? I spent mine with people who fell down, literallly, and got back up. I learned about perserverance, determination and never giving up!
Nope... I wasn't at a huge event. I wasn't listening to a top celebrity nor was I surrouonded by thousands of people. Huge lessons come from smaller places you would never expect.
Listen to my video below to hear my biggest lessons from an unsuspecting place.
When you fall down, literally, it helps you move faster and win!

Does Automation Kill the Social Experience? How does it impact our online relationships? I hear a lot of marketers talk about not doing Facebook ads and focusing on organic reach only. I disagree. There are so many ways to use this technology to reach more people and start the conversation.

You never know who you are going to meet, especially online. One of the most amazing things I love about Social Media, especially LinkedIn, is how much of other people's network you get to see. When you "like" a post, it goes out to your network that you have "liked" a specific post and they can then see the post and like or comment on it.
"You never know who you are doing to meet!"
Yesterday, a post came across my feed that one of my connections had "liked". It was from an Autism Mom from the UK. She expressed how she was finally sharing her story of her almost adult son with Autism and shared his accomplishments. As a fellow Autism Mom, I liked and commented on the post with words of encouragement and gratitude. Then I decided to take it one step further. I reached out to her and requested to connect with her. She didn't know who I was so I explained in my connection request (we always personalize our connection requests,...
